in the meantime, i'd like to share this portrait of our feudal lords here at the casket arts building: the landlords Jen and John - also proprietors of the California Building in Northeast and who knows what else.

the tasks them, Tim - John's bro, Avvo, a lot of other dudes whose names I don't know, Tiny and Adam next door at the set building company.

They all brought it together - floors, walls, mailboxes, signage, directory, door signs, wall finishing and painting, tearing down that horrible Frieda Kahlo monument to plastic artistic vanity in the guise of being an alternative to iconic modernism (I find the reaction to be just as dogmatic and boring as the modernism it responds to)... all of it was just great effort and throw down leading up to the big event.

No wonder there has been 0-2 cars in the back lot here at the CAB since Monday. AAW is to NE artists and their keepers as April 15 is to accountants and their clients.

Online portraits begin to go up tomorrow. All files will be posted for viewing at any time beginning at 12:01AM Friday.

Due to a last minute engagement (more on this after the fact), FRIDAY Art-A-Whirl portraits have been cancelled.

Free studio portraits are still available Saturday and Sunday:
